Oooo, first asparagas of the season. YUM. One of the few times when you will genuinely encounter me relishing my veggies is when faced with a dish of fresh-picked asparagus.

Stopped by [livejournal.com profile] gourami_tea's on my lunch break, which was nice, given as I happened to be passing and all. My day was duly perked by a cup of tea and some mental stimulation for half an hour. Because my brain... is dissolving from boredom.

Ah, the perking powers of tea.

(I'm sure it was more to do with the company in your case, but I spend most days alone with my Macbook...so tea is my only source of perk. Speaking of which. *goes to put kettle on*)

I've been getting through a horrendous amount of tea in my new job. Really, some days it's the only thing that keeps me plodding onwards...

Mmm...there's more truth in that statement than you know. Teeeeea.

PS - I'm screwed in September. I thought my biggest problem was how to get my books back, but it will be how to fit 100 boxes of Yorkshire tea and other miscellaneous foodstuffs like veggie Bisto and pickled onions and malt biscuits into my suitcases.

I find Yorkshire tea tastes pretty terrible outside of Yorkshire personally, it's a water-hardness thing, but each to their own. I go for Twinings English Breakfast if given options.
Good luck on the pickled onions. I can't even begin to figure out how you're going to ship those.

I'll settle for Tetley in a pinch, which I can get in America, I suppose. (Although most teas are nice, as long as they brew nice and strong.) I like my tea ... like builder's tea and wiv' milk only, maybe a bit o' cream after the milk if I'm being decadent. I don't notice a problem with the taste in Cardiff.

And, I'm not...it's just an example of the conundrum I face.

Ah see, I'm not much of a one for the builders tea. I prefer the light and aromatics, with only a splash of milk.
