Back, updates, news and what not
Mar. 22nd, 2003 08:53 pmFirst off... a GIP! made by the ever-telented
khakigrrl *grabs Khaki and waltzes off around the room*
Mmmm... *liiiiiiiiiiick*
Just got home. Spent the morning at the Space Center with Char, her sister and her mum. Wandered around playing on all the exhibits before the school parties arrived, because naturally we all regress to the state of 12 year olds when faced with the prospect of spinning disk things with coloured spots on which simulate the forces that cause space sickness (wooooo... dizzy...). Picked up a very silly glass with a straw that coils all the way up around the outside just because it was damned cool. Wound up drinking sparkling pseudo-wine out of it over dinner actually, which is always entertaining...
No real wine... wound up with a nightmare headache from a combination of dehydration, painfully bright sunlight and just plain old too much frenetic activity. My teeth are not helping with this either.
Went into the city after that. Picked up the Wolvie prequel comic, 2 TPBs, the X2 novelisation aaaaand, my find-of-the-day, a new Wolverphone cover for my exceedingly out of date phone. It has no box but I'm not really all that bothered. I have a hard enough time finding decent coveres for the 3210 nowadays anyway, let alone a replacement Wolverphone. It was only 2 pounds as well so I thought, what the hell, my old one's all scuffed to buggery and the keypad is losing its lettering. I'll keep it until it really does die and then think about changing it. I can put the new case in the box the old one came in and ta-da, a complete set once again.
(Yes, I will admit it, I am a sad bastard. I kept the box that it came in)
I was going to buy a CD as well but I really couldn't be bothered after my brain started trying to explode out of my forehead, so I still have a little money left. I really did spend a frightening amount today all told. But hey, I don't really go out that often so it all evens out.
3 weeks of bugger all followed by one day of extreme expense. *shrugs*
Have to go hide that novel... There we go... wedged between the first movie adaptation and the Round Ireland with a Fridge travelogue, hidden behind Neil Gaiman's Smoke and Mirrors. Out of sight, out of mind.
*yawns expansively* So freaking tired now... think I'll go and read my comics in bed and wait for the folks to get home. They've gone to a Charnwood orchestra concert thing tonight so they won't be back for another hour or so.
Peace and quiet so I can lick my long-haired HJ piccie in solitude.
