*waves to new friend [livejournal.com profile] kaeshan* Welcome to the madness/boredom/whatever you would calssify my existance as.

Just spent a random half hour dissecting a pommegranite for want of anything more exciting to do. We had a discussion about tropical frut at work the other day and it left me with a craving for them.
I also had a letter from the denitst this morning because apparently I'm overdue for a checkup.
*sighs*
I don't want any poking around right now. One chunka' gum is already sore thanks to wisdom tooth number 4 finally deciding to make a belated appearance. It's halfway out and making that side kinda' tender. You know, due to the fact that a tooth is extruding through it and all. Not condusive to general comfort.

My dentist is a really nice bloke and all, I just don't like the waiting around part before the appointment. I get paranoid about cavities and start brushing my teeth way more than actually neccessary. *reveals her inner obsessive compulsive side*

There's a very silly WWII based Justice League episode on CNX right now. Wonder Woman's getting chatted up by some square-jawed secret agent (The war can wait, let's just... enjoy the moment) and by the looks of it, only the Americans made it to D-Day.
*Pats them on the head* bless...

Still not had any lunch yet. I think I'm gonna' go and grab some toast.

Nice to be here!

"I've never been so keen on DC comics, so Batman's not something I read on a regular basis. Might check it out when I next go and pick up my comics though."
I wasn't either, but Batman: Return of the Dark Knight really impressed me - it's set when he's 45, and there's a lot of stuff I used from it's introduction for a psychology essay I was writing. So Batman's cool.
Besides, in the amalgam comics he was crossed with Wolverine to make DarkClaw, so... ;-)

"Personal favourites at the moment are Wolverine/Hulk crossovers. Mostly because they leave the door open for a lot of silly bickering."
Haven't read any of them *pouts in thought* Where do you get your comics? I get mine from Forbidden Planet (when I'm in Croydon) And that's one of the reasons I liked the Batman/Judge Dredd ones: Judge Dredd originally slated Batman as a 'No-good vigilante' and they were at each other's throats.

"*potters off to add you back* But I'll warn you, I'm not that exciting. Strange and random and a little exhuberatly fangirl now and then, but not that exciting ;)"
I'm sure you're selling yourself short, darlin. I tell you what, in a little while I'll review some of your entries and give you my expert opinion :-)

Good idea there.

I've rad that, yeeeeahs... and Jubilee was crossed with Robin which was deeply bizarre.

Where do you get your comics? I get mine from Forbidden Planet

I get mine usually from Magic Labyrinth. It's an independant shop in Leicester. I get my comics from them but graphics/TPBs work out cheaper if I buy them from Another World.

I thought Forbidden Planet has closed down it's stores? I heard that both the London branch and the Nottingham broadmash one had gone.
Hmm, maybe my sources are mistaken.

ooh-err. Don't expect too much now, I do so like to whinge. ;)

Yes, I have those sometimes. But not often!

Jube was crossed with Robin? I must've missed that one *shudders* The amazing adventures of Robilee, the firecracker throwing hermaphrodite...

Forbidden Planet might have closed down - I haven't been there in quite a while.

And sometimes whinging can be entertaining. Like I said, you'll have to wait for the official verdict! ;-)

Well pretty close there. It was more sorta' Jubilee dressed up as Robin, with the mask and tights and pixie boots and all...
Deeply strange mental image.

I think Forbidden Planet might have gone, yes. In which case looks like you might have to find yourself another place to shop. I'd tell you that Magic Lab has all kinds of interesting stuff but it's a pretty long way for you to go ;p
Another World are still alive and kicking though, so you might find one of those around.

And sometimes whinging can be entertaining. Like I said, you'll have to wait for the official verdict! ;-)
