Feb. 24th, 2010 04:31 pmSorted through my trousers and jeans at last. Now have many distinct piles.
'Definitely too big', 'just about right', 'ok but a little tight' and "I want to get into these but they don't actually close" goal trousers.
Of the latter there are two, both from the same store, both claiming to be the same size, and definitely, definitely not. The first go on but don't quite do up, the second pair don't even make it all the way over my backside, which mostly just leads me to think the second pair actually have the wrong size lable sewn in them. So they are short-term and long-term goal trousers. Some day, some day...
On the plus side, I can now pretty much get back into the jeans I bought in NYC on my 21st birthday. This is a good thing. That said, in context, it's a slightly useless achievement as they're the ones with the straps and zips and D-rings that were so fucking cool back in 2004 but now, six years of changing fashions later, make me look like kind of a twat. Still, good memories, they go back to live in the drawer for a bit I think. Maybe I'll keep them till they come back in fashion again and I can pass them on to the Bug as 'vintage'. *snerk*

Date: 2010-02-24 06:10 pm (UTC)I have two jackets, one of which is two sizes larger than the other. The larger one is smaller than the small one.
Same shope, same brand, same product line, same year, bought at the same time, and yet so totally, totally different in size.
