OK, so about five hours earlier than initially stipulated, but I have officially exhausted every job listing that I can reasonably be bothered to wade through for things I stand a reasonable chance of actually being able to do, run perilously close to running out of paper, and envelopes, and stamps, and so therefore today's grand total is...


Seven!
Six by regular mail, and one online form of extreme weirdness.
It would have been 10 but I eschewed the 3 that had application forms with more pages than there were hours-per-week in the actual job. (All from educational institutions, just as an aside. Seems to me that they all have one application form, and it's the same regardless of whether you're applying to be the new head of Social Anthropology or cleaning the canteen toilets. Just... could not be bothered...)


So congratulations, sooretired, you got it right on the money. You win some shiny, shiny praise for your intuition. (And possibly a user icon if you want one.)

Aww cm'on fill out the multi-page applications and apply for both postions - Head of Social Anthropolgy or cleaning canteen toilet which ever. I bet they've never seen that application before...
