*flumps down in a tired little heap*
Went to work then had to haul myself to Leicester.
Been shopping with Char and Rachie. Char dragged Bunny along as well seeing as they were both at college together. The Bunny has a crush on Rachie, Rachie is agonising cause she half fancies the Bunny and half fancies a bloke she knows up north. Charlie and I kept shreiking at her to stop wiffling because frankly as far as we're concerned it'd be nice to just have the option, then Charlie secretly slipped the Bunny Rachie's mobile number just so it could watch it have a massive spazz when Bunny sent her a text.
Yeah, pretty standard day then.
Managed to get the X2 13" poseable Wolvie in magic lab today though! *squees loudly and dies of excitement*
Has to be said, from a distance and in the photos... looked kinda' *eh*. Up close it's not actually THAT bad a likeness. Coulda' been better maybe but not too horiffically awful.
I'm waiting for the 6" figures to arrive next. See if they're as bad as the preview shots.
I was deeply excited to find it in magic lab though, because so far as I know this is the first X2 figure merchandise to make it over here. (They have an X2 Wolvie t-shirt that I want too now...) They had the 13" Nightcrawler in the window and I'm pretty sure they're both American Imports as opposed to British release. There's no sign of them in Another World yet and they're usually pretty good at getting figures in stock when they get released in the UK.
Aside from that... if Liz doesn't phone before 7 then I get tomorrow off. Work's kinda' light this week so R and I are alternating today and tomorrow. She has however, decided that she wants to pick my brains.
They're in the process of sorting out their website but they're having all sorts of associated problems and were phoned up today by one of those companies that charges you a certain amount to go round and add you to all the major search engines.
I happened to be there just as they were discussing whether to go for it or not and... well...
Stupid me, I opened my big mouth and pointed out that instead of forking out three hundred quid a year for someone to flick through google on your behalf, it's not THAT hard to add yourself to a search engine.
That was my downfall... because neither of them know how to do that. Now, in total honesty, I've only ever dealt with Yahoo and Google. I'm going to assume that most of the others run in a similar sort of way, but despite that they decided that instead of paying out huge sums of money they would rather that I do it.
I have been charged with finding good places for them to advertise, good places to be listed and big search engines to be added to... and then when they finally sort out their website (it goes up... it goes down... it goes up... it goes down...) then they want me to add them to said engines.
Not so hard I guess but I did have to go and open my big gob and get myself more work... *rolls eyes*
In all likelyhood I may get paid for it, so that's all good I suppose, but I really can't be fooked with it this evening.
I'm kinda' trying to find the website I used to find a hotel in Hereford. That was an exceedingly handy website. And yes, typically, I cannot find it now at all.
