Jan. 11th, 2010 11:39 amSo, the icy road of slipperiness outside my house melted yesterday. Mostly because the temperature rose a degree or so and then it rained a little bit and then the grit was finally liberated from the ice long enough to actually do something useful and the whole lot descended into slush.
Of course, just to be tiresome, it's still snowing, but as a good deal of melting went on yesterday it's mostly just succeeding in being kind of wet and not sticking.
I'd be lying if I thought this was a good thing. I LIKE snow. OK, I'm glad I probably won't have to risk my neck on icy pavements to get to the pool tomorrow, but at least the white stuff is a lot prettier than the sludgy brown muddy crap we usually get in January.
And talking of January, Happy birthday to my fellow in cold-end-of-the-year birthdayness,
wolvietat. Hope you're having as relaxing and stress-free a Monday as you can. :D
