Currently bullshitting my way through job application for job I could do in my fucking SLEEP but am seemingly not even remotely qualified for.

Meh. Worst they can do is ignore me, I guess.

Though I'm guessing that in the box marked 'INFORMATION IN SUPPORT OF THIS APPLICATION' putting "Jesus, I could do this job from the depths of a coma" probably wouldn't be effective.

Blah blah customer service blah...

I think they put higher qualifications than they really need to discourage people from applying. My policy when job hunting was, screw the listed requirements, if I think I can do it, I'm applying for it. It seemed to work!

Yeah, I'm more or less of that mindset at present. They don't specifically *want* much it would seem but they will keep harping on about experience from your last job. When the relevant job was the job-before-last which it leaves no damn space for on the form.

So I'm blathering in the additional info box...

You could always put "See attached" and type up a separate page of relevant experience?

that's pretty much what I am doing.

Bonus, the formatting on their downloadable application form is utter crap. I'm currently fixing it as I go along...

Might want to watch that... That form might be the pride and joy of the manager you're applying to work under, and fixing his/her form might put his/her back up.

On the other hand, I probably wouldn't want to work for that sort of manager anyway!

Well it's more a case of removing all the excess paragraphs so when you input something into a box it doesn't stretch down the page with random blank space...

Oh, well in that case it's probably not even going to show that you changed it.

Pretty much...

I find a lot of that going on even in jobs I'm supposedly "qualified" for. I have a frickin' MASTERS in LIS but since I have no actual experience in the field, I'm not qualified.

Uh, 'scuse me, I have a $40,000 piece of paper says I do, thankyouverymuch.
