Jan. 5th, 2010 02:07 pmWell that's odd...
I am missing some tree decorations. Stuff I know went ON but has definitely not come off.
I'm currently missing a plastic ornament of Storm in mid-flight carrying a santa sack, and a hand-made glass candycane.
I did have four of them, but only three have gone back in the box.
They're definitely not still attached to the tree, because I took that down to its individual pieces to pack it away. They're not on the floor, they've not rolled, they're just *gone*. I know they went on, especially the Storm, cause I remember hanging her on the side cause she dangles horizontally rather than vertically, and I definitely had 4 candycanes...
*makes perplexed face*
I'd be inclined to place the blame on inquisitive small people squirreling things away, but so far as I know the kids *generally* don't wander in here too often, and then usually don't touch anything aside from the big talking Wolverine and the Burger King star trek figures, and only then because I said they could. So the whereabouts of my two crimbo ornaments is somewhat of a mystery.
Relatedly I've also lost the dangly wire off one of the glass spidermen, but that's my fault cause it pinged off when I was removing him from the tree and now I can't find it. I may have to steal one from one of the unused ornaments downstairs. (Or, and this is the more likely outcome, ignore it completely, forget that it happened and then dangle him by the neck on some ribbon in a slightly morbid kind of way next year.)
I still have a pounding headache, BTW. Nothing yet has even dented it. Am contemplating sawing my own head off at this point.

Date: 2010-01-05 03:25 pm (UTC)I've just asked the kids if they touched them but all I got was them telling me they think you should only have one tree XD
I know they are pretty good with the tree's, so maybe something just got bumped off and rolled somewhere?
Hope you find them soon.

Date: 2010-01-05 03:29 pm (UTC)And yeah, it would have been odd for your kids to have been in here tree picking. They had fun prodding at the one downstairs but they're usually good at leaving my stuff alone, so I've got no idea where the hell she's gone.
