Well, the new year at least seems to have started out alright. A little bit dehydrated from the gin last night, though not hung over so much as just exhausted and in need of getting more than 6 hours of sleep, but these are minor issues and entirely self-inflicted. Which is what you get sitting up till 3am watching a crappy Bruce Willis movie on mute with a functional alcoholic discussing Victorian jenga. But such is life, and I enjoyed it more than throwing together a 6-course dinner for 14, which is how I've spent some previous new year's eves.
Had everyone over for a buffet lunch today instead, which worked out rather easier and less stressful for all the small children and addled parents involved, and I made a pretty rockin' glazed ham.

Now... well now everyone has gone home, and I am waiting for the quagmire of misery that is Eastenders to finish so I can watch Dr Who!

Expect flailing. Lots of flailing.

Heading to Leicester with Kat and Sarah tomorrow to watch them shopping in the sales. I have nothing I need to buy unless I see something monumentally awesome but it's always nice to get out and about, and I fully intend to hit my favourite coffee haunt. I NEED a non-crap lattee. NEEEEEED ONE.

Oooh, Eastenders is over! *runs off*
