I luff that man... ;p
OK, I bitch about JR on a continual basis, but he did just buy me the most excellent new set of speakers for my PC. Since the death of my bass box he took pity on me, got a nicely sized tax rebate and decided to spend it on a 3 point set of black Harman speakers.
Lesson one... it whups ass. Lesson two, I'm so used to listening to music through audio fog, music sounds weird now it's actually clear. Leson 3, it's making my floor vibrate. I may need to get some kind of insulation under the woofer to stop it annoying the crap out of everyone else.
Not that it isn't mutual annoyance, they all have 5 point surround sound, John's subwoofer can be heard from the back garden if he's got it cranked up enough.

Changing the subject, we were talking about funerals and such on break today... morbid, yes, but we cater to a lot of funeral parties cause the crematorium is just down the road so it comes up pretty often. Liz was telling us about her granddad's great grandmother. Lesley was saying how terrified she is of being burried alive, and liz was saying that her great great grandmother actually WAS. Long time ago. Her grandpa was 80 when he told her and Liz is in her 50's now, so long ago in Ireland.
She was burried in the morning and by the time the evening rolled around the grave robbers were at it. Dug her up, pried the lid off the casket and tried to pull her ring off. Didn't manege it so they lopped off the whole finger.
The shock of losing a finger snapped her out of the coma she'd been in, she sat up, blood dripping everywhere, scared the shit out of the robbers then walked home... then had to knock on the door when she got there cause people generally don't burry corpses with keys.
One can only imagine the shock she gave her family when a blood-dripping dead relative turned up on the doorstep.

And after that cheery annecdote, we had sponge cake and a cup of tea then put the vallance sheets back on the beds we took them off of yesterday.

Funny old world.
