Crosspatch grumbleweed
Mar. 7th, 2003 08:30 pmI'm not having psychopathic thoughts about my mother, I'm not, I'm not... oh I so am... >.<
I'm semi-spring cleaning this evening as it dawned on me that I only have 6 weeks till KAT gets here so I'd better get started on finding that floor of mine.
Basically just dusting, throwing out all the excess crap, doing the little job that don't usually get done.
Anyway, my mum's taking an unnatural interest in the process and is currently plotting to re-decorate. Now I appreciate it needs doing, the wallpaper on the external-sided walls is getting a bit squiffy and the painwork's all gone a funny colour through age, but she's become a psycho-shelving-unit-obsessed she-devil. Everything, it has to be shelves. Shelves, you need shelves, whatever you have here you can have shelves... what's in those drawers? Underwear? They'll go on shelves...
*screams* Piss! Off! You insane! Old! Woman!
*harumphs*
I don't need more shelves I need a bigger bloody bedroom that's what I need. And no, thanks mum, a loft conversion won't do a lot of good if you have to bend double to walk across it. We have a very low roof in case you forgot...
On a side note, does everyone else's computer attract dust like a magnet or is it just mine...? I swear it's a jungle back there.
I think I'll call it a night for now. Evidently all this dusting is making me cranky. I'll finish it off tomorrow. only have the CD/DVD heap to take care of, the action figures to dust (not a good thing to have to do at any point in time... darn their fiddly little dust-collecting details) and a bunch of comics to sort away.
I found my floor though. It's red and the carpet's gone a bit gungy in places through various melted wax-related accidents, but yeah, it's there...
