Whingeall don't got nothing on me
Mar. 5th, 2003 01:00 pmOy... so complex... so convoluted... so... *eeeeeugh*
Cable guy's been, in case you were wondering what I was talking about. We have the digital cable installed. Only, because it goes into the TV/VCR AV tunings instead of the regular channels like normal things, it means I no longer get cable in my room.
Which is a huge pain in the arse cause that's where I do 99% of my TV watching.
£15 a month would get us a second set-top box for my room BUT... my TV is so ancient it doesn't actually HAVE an AV function. (Yes, really, that old)
So, I'm limited to watching cable downstairs unless I buy another new TV for up here (or pilfer my brother's, one of the two) and want to fork out for the second box.
*sighs long and deep*
So, I get no cable all the while I'm confined to my room while anyone teaches. Which sucketh... But then again, as I stated not 24 hours ago, I currently only watch teeny tiny amounts of TV right now anyway. All the while I live on the net I guess it's not going to be too much of an issue. I'll just have to re-learn how to fracking well record stuff cause it involves diddling around with the VCR's AV functions which I have no conception of.
*sighs again*
Also, I got wet getting both to and from work because I was told I had to leave my car here so Andy could fit the stereo... then I get home and discover he's not actually turned up yet so I could have damned well taken it in the first place.
I'm tired, damp, cranky, and I just feel like I really need to have a good old fashioned WHINGE.
Oooh, ok, change that... we worked out how to get the cable upstairs through the video downstairs. It's convoluted and if anyone decides to watch a video downstairs then I can't see the cable, but *eh* we can work something out... XD
I should really tune my video into the downstairs video but you know what?
Can't be fooked. ;p
