Vaaaaaan Helsing
Feb. 17th, 2003 11:41 amThe VH Official Site has just opened, with a lil' bit of concept art and a postery thing that made me go "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
Mmm, dark... dark and broody... *gah* With the cape thing and the face half covered... yeah, I could go for some o' that. That only thing that would make me squee even more was if it was being directed by Tim Burton, but we can't have everything.
For the record I shall say "But Frankenstein was the name of the guy who made the monster, not the monster itself" but I won't say it again because I don't really care that much. I just have to say it once because I studied it in English and it's just one of those things you have to do.
With that and more screencaps over at jackmanslanding as well as the new trailer, I'm on hyper fangirl overload XD
*runs around waving her arms in the air*
Still waiting for the TV delivery people but they still have... ohh, 6 hours before I start to get really twitchy ;)

Ha! I also thought that!

It seems there's a lot of that going around today *g*

Date: 2003-02-18 02:50 pm (UTC)Oh, the added bonus of colour, though black and white can be good too! Shadows can be very alluring sometimes, and they're often better in b/w. But I agree bathtub scenes need a little colour *g*

Date: 2003-02-18 03:47 pm (UTC)I'd forgotten exactly how orangey parts of K&L were though. All that faux period lighting type orangey glow in the historical parts?
Ha! I know what you mean, I think if they had increased the number of orange gels much more I would have gotten a migraine.
Though I've seen some films were this effect is used, and by the end of the movie the light is almost red, it has looked like a vision of hell.

Now that would take some doing I think :)

Date: 2003-02-19 01:59 pm (UTC)You know I've never actually seen that film!
Every room has a different colour to it, and Helen Mirren's dress changes colour to match depending on what room she's in.
Yeah, that sounds like a clever trick, and you must have a good eye to have picked up on that!

It's an interesting film if a little on the grusome side in places. People being forcefed buttons and all that jazz, and if anyone works out the relevance of that kid singing soprano in the kitchens, please do let me know ;p
