Stuff and stuff, like...

So here's a thing...

JR brought me back a new screen filter today, cause it was extra cheap and he knows that mine's a little on the knackered side (It got knocked off the monitor and the frame is sort of held together with sticky tape).
However, my current one is a glass screen and the one he brought back is one of them extra nasty mesh screen filters. Of the kind that don't so much filter as make you look at your screen through an annoying kind of haze which guarentees eyestrain within the space of about 20 minutes.
Frankly the most useful thing about it was the styrofoam packing that came with it.

But...
Look at a light bulb through it and darnit if you don't get just the BEST colour refraction. I'm talking seriously vivd rainbow streaks of pure, white-light colour. The kind you really wish they could somehow fit in a tube but know they never will cause paint doesn't really have its own internal glowyness... ;p

Basically, it's just reeeeeally pretty.

Ah, so anyway...

Waiting for mum to call cause most likely I'm going to have to go pick her up from work. JR's run off with her car, see.
I'd actually rather like her to get the bus back like she normally would have but, eh... it's raining and kinda' crappy and cold outside so I guess I can be nice ;p


Oh and the boywonder just gave me his copy of the Tenacious D album as security against his continually forgetting to give me back my Evanesence CD.

In the name of all that scuttles

It feels really wintery outside today. Cold and grey and wet and very, VERY British. The kind of weather that makes my hair want to stick to my head and act all lank and greasy and disgusting even though it's not.
*blech*

Even to the point where I made soup for dinner. Big, chunky winter soup.
In August.

There is no end to the weirdness of this weather. And if it suddenly gets hot again I will indeed have to scream.
Reminds me of the beginning of Flash Gordon with Ming dickering around with the weather systems... XD
Well I have the Queen music going on, I just need a blond guy with no talent, Brian Blessed having a full-on thesp moment and Timothy Dalton trying to upstage Topol's facial hair...

Oh yes, and tomorrow's going to suck at work... no question...

I found the brother to the Biggest Fucking Spider that I murdered in Room 1 the other week. Only this one leaped out at me from under a pillow. I about had a fucking heart attack. Luckily I was 99% finished in that room before it made its break for freedom across the bedspread. I woulda' killed it, but it was scuttling AT me instead of away from me, so by the time I'd finished squealing and running in the other direction it'd vanished.

Gives me the creeps just thinking about it.

Oh, I also get to help try and persuade my unutterably illogical employer that we can't actually fit the spare king/single duvets in the cupboard under the stairs, because if we do that we won't have anywhere to put all the stuff that's already under there.

We should just go back to putting the bloody things in the wardrobe forchrissakes. At least we knew where they were instead of hunting through a pile taller than I am to find the one lurking, untraceable mattress cover...

So, the Hugh Jackman Multimedia site has uploaded the E!, ET and Access Hollywood TV spots regarding the signing appearance on the first day of ticket sales for BFO.
The ETonline clip was substantially longer than the TV spot by the looks of it though so don't get too excited about that one. ;)

I like the Access Hollywood one best, I think, because it has a funny little hiccupping Japanese lady in it... XD

Hugh: You came all the way from Japan...?
Japanese lady: *makes hiccupping noise and nods madly*
Hugh: Just for THIS...?
Japanese lady: *nods like crazy and hiccups again*
