Gonna' go meet Rachie in 15...
We were vaguely planning to go see a film, then we realised there's aaaaaabsolutely nothing on till Thursday when Pirates comes out.
So... Guess we're just gonna' hang around a bit, she's going to whiffle about bunny, I'm going to try and sound like I care and we'll end up eating total junk food and acheiving nothing.

And I have to remember to get some petrol for my car otherwise I won't get to work tomorrow..

*whines* oh the heat... the heeeat... and, it's set to get hotter.
*dies*

I've almost made it to the concolusion that, no matter how disenchanted with the idea I may normally be of displaying my pasty white pins, I may have to wear shorts this week at work. It's much too hot for jeans even just sitting around the house, so I'm thinking jeans while doing what is, essentially, a very physical job is a bad, bad idea.

For example, I met Rachie in town and we both sweated outselves into a near-dead state just standing. Walking around was barely even an option (though she was for some ungodly reason wearing PVC bondage trousers. When we got back here I had to lend her some PJ bottoms while the inside of her legs dried out.)
Ergo I'm thinking 34 degrees, high humidity, virtually no breeze, in a hotel that is essentially a glorified conservatory... this is going to be bad.

So, anyway we were going to see a film then discovered there was NOTHING showing that we wanted to see and hadn't already watched. Instead we bought a couple of crappy cheap DVDs to watch instead. Eight Legged Freaks (which is funny in a Tremmors sort of a way) and Ghost Ship, which is completely not scary but DOES have a fun scene with cheesewire that they replay repeatedly.

Other than that we sat around a lot, flaked out in front of the fan and watched TV. In the process I discovered that we've lost our late-night porno channels and gained 3 more request music channels. Two of them are crap, but Scuzz is loud and obnoxious ans makes a change when Kerrang are playing back to back Good Charlotte.

Other than that, today is a non-event. Oh, and my grany has phoned 5 times so far today, offering meals, laundry services, money, random conversation... all in a misplaced effort to make sure we're managing ok without mum. In the end I just stopped answering the phone because she was driving me nuts.
If she asks, I'm telling her I went out for the evening. -_-

Oh this amuses me waaaaay more than it probably should...

*pats on the head* You're a goof, yet strangely I like you. ;)

I miss the long hair though... *sniffs* But hey, if there's going to be more than one Van Helsing film at least we know it'll be back ^____^

What I want to know though... what's with the hat obsession? ComicCon, the photos from the first day of BFO rehersals and now also this morning's signing... hat, hat and hat. In fact it's been pretty much all hat since VH finished filming. With the exception of that US weekly picture with Stallone, and he still had vaguely long-ish hair in that one.
Though interestingly enough *she says, getting sadly warmed to the subject of Hugh's hair*, from the rehersal and ComicCon pictures, there are foofety flicks of hair sticking out the back of the hat, and this morning there are none. My vague guess is on for Peter Allen hair being kept under wraps, though exactly WHY I wouldn't know. (Or maybe he just got a bad haircut, who's to say?)

And now I just have the sudden urge to yoink the darned hat off and see what's going on under there... :D

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] allende, damn funny Flame war in the knitting community".

Though if you're of the fundamental Christian type, easily wound up and annoyed by stupid people, can't take a little blasphemy without offence or are generally unable to take great amusement out of a flame war concerning God's pubic hair, then you might not want to click that link. XD
