I'm pondering on my hair again. Mostly because it's starting to look like I need to do something with it, only I'm feeling paranoid about its condition with regards to getting it bleached any more.
It would have been more or less ok, but the chick who did it the last time bleached the crap out of it and it's not been quite right since.
Ergo I'm a bit... eeeeeh about getting my streaks re-done because the last thing I want is for it to go all crappy, but in the same breath I don't want to loose my purple. I'm stupidly attatched to it.
Not quite sure what I want to do with it really. I was even pondering *gasp* having it cut... but then I realised that I've had long hair for pretty much my entire life, I have no idea what style would suit me.
*huffs*
Darned indecision... but my roots are lurking around the best end of 2 and a half inches and the purple is reaching the stage where it does't feel like staying purple for very long. That's usually a sign I need to do something about it.
I'm just not sure what.
I should probaly dye it all back to black to give the bleached-to-fuck-parts some time to recover, but I fear that if I put it back to being almost natural colour I'll never get around to putting the purple back in. Cause you all know what I'm like when it comes to procrastination.
Now if I could just remember when I had this done last I could work out how far it will have grown out by autumn.
Which is what it all boils down to, you see. I want to go back to NYC with psycho-purple hair again.
Rough estimate, these front bits should have grown down another 3 inches or so, so I could have the remaining pink bits chopped off and the 5-6 inches of un-bleached fringe then bleached and dyed as usual.
OR
I could have another part of my head bleached and dyed instead of these front bits, so if anyone has any amazing ideas feel free to post them.
OR
I could forget all about it and go to NYC with black hair (though gosh darnit that's my least favourite option. My inner diva demands attention)
One thing I do need to do though is dye the darned things back to purple again soon. Can't stand that washed-out look. Roots are just about ok so long as your colour doesn't suck.
And man that's a really long and pointless post just about my hair.

Date: 2003-02-15 08:12 am (UTC)I recently dyed my poor overly bleached locks to a chocolately colour, it was a nightmare trying to get the dark to cling to the blonde. Apparently it's easier to get blonde to cling to dark then vice versa. It took hours, I had to hve a mousse added first then a dye on top then a henna blended in to help it cling :(
After all that I went back, and had blonde bangs put in the front ;)
PS love the bio :)
