All chaos, no theory

lady_t_220It's getting round to that sort of time of year apparently. Time for hotel inspectors and health and safety drop-ins. Hence work is all a little crazy weird right now and seems to involve a lot of running around, dusting in unlikely places and poking in crevices with toothbrushes.
Though on the upside, until the weekends perk up substantially or the weekdays drop off again I'm working Tues-Fri pretty much indefinitely. Which is good for me cause more money is always good and I get a 3 day weekend.
Man, this cake is good. *snarfs down second slice* I will admit to being impressed by myself sometimes.
Ooh, disturbing thing on TV. Gareth Gates and the Kumars at Number 42 doing a cover of Spirit in the Sky. It's just SO wrong... O_o
For starters no one should ever diddle with the Doctor and the Medics version. That's a massive part of my childhood right there. Gareth cannot desecrate that. Even if it is a comedy record with the Kumars in...
Oh you know they have tanks around Heathrow airport today? They're concerned the end of the Eid festival could be a good cover for terrorist attacks so they have half a fricking army parked outside Heathrow in little diddy baby tanks.
I'm like... seriously... they have bullets that pierce 3" armour plate, I don't quite know what they plan to use that for, but there they are.
Maybe it's just an excuse for the Household Cavalry to get to play with their mini-tanks somewhere other than Sailsbury Plane. ;p
They seem to be having a lot of fun when you see them on the news though... getting their kicks from watching baffled tourists walk past them in a dazed sort of way while they weild big machine guns in an effort to look menacing.
