Woke up this morning to a bill from Fedex europe. 50p duty, 9.50 VAT and a 4.50 admin charge, all randomly and for no apparent reason.
I thought it was a package in waiting with insufficient postage or something but actually it's one of the christmas presents I received last year. They only now decide to bill me for it...
Mum's going to have fun later. She's thinking of mauling them. She likes doing that... something about it being technically an unsolicited gift, blah blah, duty free, blah, something... I dunno...
*shrugs*
I don't mind the duty or the VAT per-se, it just seems like a lot for what it was, especially as it was classified as a gift, which is a fantastic excuse to send all sorts of things that normally get through without paying.
The only thing I can think of is that it seems to be under the impression that it was business post, in which case it would have been classified as merchandise and therefore open to taxation.
Eh, enough of this. I have to work tomorrow and I ended up having a dream last night about being AT work... or more technically being one of the guests at the B&B I work at...
That was weird... but at least I saw fit to give myself the nifty 4-poster bed in room 8...
Something about it strikes me as weird though... to go to sleep and then have a dream about going to sleep...
My subconscious needs more imagination.
I mean really, that 4-poster is just the perfect size for handcuffs, but do I create a fun and interesting dream with several important male cameos...?
No... I go to sleep and have a fatuous argument with someone about creasing the sheets.
But at least I got to go to breakfast in my dressing gown. I've never done that at work... XD
Suppose I should get up now...
