Ah, that made no sense
Jan. 6th, 2003 10:33 pmLet's make a more coherant (and comprehensive) post than the last one shall we, now that Rachie's gone home...
I'm exceedingly confused as to why Ulti War 2 was in my box a week later than it should have been. Especially considering that I think it came out at the same time as Ulti 26 for everyone else in the UK.
I don't get it, though thinking back it was a week late last time around too.
*shrugs*
Obviously slow, but it gets there eventually.
Rachie said it probably got lost behind the Ark, like all those Elektra and Wolverine comics. Issue 2 of that went missing for about 3 months.
Yes, the whole entire UK shipment of E&W #2 got lost in the warehouse. Somewhere behind the ark, said the freaky haired blonde guy in magic lab.
All I can say is that it must be one fucking huge warehouse.
What else...? Ah, used up the last of my HMV gift vouchers buying Airheads on DVD.
Multiple reasons for that... It has the rock thing, the guitarist thing and the clinging remains of a bit-of-a-Brendan Fraser thing, all tied up in a nice glob of my own sentimental reasoning.
Plus it's another one of those films I shove on when the universe sucks because it makes me feel better and my video copy has commercials all the way through it. *damn you Channel 5...*
I have to go to work tomorrow... I don't want to go to work tomorrow. Tomorrow we're bottoming and getting inspected for it.
*Insert a certain amount of stress here*
I just know I'm going to have missed something and then I'm going to get whinged at...
Plus I hate cleaning bathrooms and in bottoming them we reeeeeeally clean the bathrooms. Even the bits no one sees and that you can't reach without getting down on your hands and knees and curling yourself around the toilet in a tight little pretzel shape because there's only like half an inch of space to work in...
Plus, as I discovered the other week, there's a difference between what we do at weekends and what gets done during the week. I've been giving the rooms what is apparently a less thorough weekend style clean during the week, when they're meant to all get dusted and polished as well as cleaned and changed.
However, no one actually told me this so quite how I was expected to know is totally beyond me.
But I fear I'm going to get whinged at so I d'un wanna go.
On the other hand, the rooms I usually take care of were all done out by Jo and myself on Sunday and she's a much more thorough bathroom cleaner than I am. Hopefully anything seriously amiss will have been picked up by her aleady and I may escape unscathed.
Here's hoping, eh?
Rachie's insisted I come and see TTT with them tomorrow afternoon when I get out of work. I can't afford it at all so she said she'd pay. Cause I paid for her a bunch of times she said she feels guilty, ergo I'm going to go and see it again whether I want to or not.
Not fussed either way personally. This'll make time number 3. I'll probably end up zoning out part way through it again, like I did the last time. I'm just not the LOTR repeat viewing type.
X2 you can guarentee I'll see that at least as many times but I'll have more of an incentive for that one ~_^ (For the slow on the uptake, that incentive is tall, Australian and it's name begins with an H)
Sadly I have no one to drool over in LOTR. And excellent as any film may ever be, my reasons for seeing it so many times in such a short space are usually linked to the need to dribble uncontrollably at someone.
So I'm expecting to pretty much zone out till it gets to the battle for Helm's Deep, cause it's really the only bit that I still find exciting the 3rd time around.
It's also the reason I've not bothered to watch Fellowship on DVD. I'm not massively interested, and all the cool battle scenes are a lot less cool and dramatic when shrunk down and wedged onto a TV screen.
Some movies were just made to be watched big.
