Random movie review, but seriously, if you've not seen Churchill: The Hollywood Years... you REALLY have to. You will die of teh funny.
If you've ever seen any of the Comic Strip Presents movies (like, Five go mad in Dorset or Five go mad on Mescalin or, in particular, The Strike) then you'll kind of know where the styling came from. But they're like the low-budget grandparents of the movie and Peter Richardson finally got the genre RIGHT after 20 years of hit-and-miss attempts.
Completely worth a look as a sideways peek into the British insecurity of Hollywood excess, taken to its ultimate, rediculous conclusion. As well as being a funny little look into the perpetual pout the British wear every time Hollywood comes out with another movie about WWII where the US and UK representations of history somewhat... differ.
GOT to love it.
