Just had a conversation with JR almost as bizarre as the quantum Sam Neill argument. Only this one was about the song Hello Dolly being (or not being) from the musical Hello Dolly.
Which then went sideways into an argument about how Barbra Streisand was not Louis Armstrong.
I have no idea what's happening.

OTOH, after he spent the other week telling me how much he didn't like my phone because it's 'too big' and that it was wholly uneccessary being able to access the net all the time because it may as well be a computer that makes calls (But... That's kind of the point, isn't it?) I finally got him to concede that if he HAD a smartphone he would have been able to better serve the customer he had at work this morning looking for sheet music to the song Hello Dolly. Which is what precipitated the whole argument. Because he essentially waited 4 hours to get home to ask me who wrote it and what it was from.

--The composer offhand I did not know, but I DID know it was from the musical Hello Dolly and that the movie version had Streisand in, while he was insisting madly it was sung by Louis Armstrong. I'm like... noooo... I'm fairly sure Louis Armstrong did not flounce down glittery gold stairs in a bouffant hat, but you may find he was the accompaniment. (Quick! TO GOOGLE! And all without leaving the dinner table-- Oh no, wait, you're too technophobic for that.)

I digress. I still haven't worked out why he has such a hate-on for smartphones being 'too big' when he thinks tablets are amazing. Yet tablets are even bigger.
Maybe he's just allergic to devices able to make calls?

All these things aside, I am very glad it's Friday. Only 2 more weeks till half term.
