Apr. 2nd, 2011 09:55 pmHave such a case of the blahs right now. And as a bonus just had a really odd random conversation with a bloke from New Zealand.
Yeah, no, I dunno either. He's some relative of JR's (distantly) but as it's a weekend and the parentals tend to go to bed at the same time as the squidlets, I said JR was out cause it's easier than explaining why he's in bed at like 8:30 on a Saturday night.
Now considering that I have only a vary vague and distant notion of who this guy is, and he clearly had no idea I even existed at all, you can imagine that it was a bit of an odd conversation thereafter. Mostly because he seemed reluctant to ring off (I guess if you go to the effort of calling the opposite side of the world you don't want to admit defeat after 45 seconds?) and I was getting the vaaaague suspicion he might have possibly thought I was my mum (happens a lot, always awkward) but either way it resulted in an awful lot of stilted "So, how's the weather where you are?" kind of discourse.
And people wonder why I hate talking on the phone.

hobbit_chan's mum's banana choc-chip pancakes in a seriously fearsome way.
