Feb. 27th, 2011 05:41 pmWent to see Paul this afternoon with
hobbit_chan,
gourami_milk and
hell_bunny.
( Probably spoilers )
I think I shall have to go review it for TDF before I forget too much.
Basically though- starts out a little patchy, helps if you watch with fellow nerds, and will probably make an amazing drinking game. Also I doubt you'll lose much if you watch it on DVD later; it's not effects-reliant, it's totally nerd and in-joke reliant.
Comparatively speaking I think Hot Fuzz is a much more complete film, but Paul sort of grows on you as it bobbles along and there are certainly much worse ways of spending a very, VERY wet Sunday afternoon.
