Had a nice visit from Sarah, made a bunch of screencaps from Four Lions so I can do a TDF review of it at some point, and then proceeded to drink a rediculous amount of coffee.
National Tv Awards are on tonight. Dr Who Vs Sherlock, and Matt Smith Vs Cucumberpatch.
Dr Who has won it every year since RTD brought it back, so that's going to be a tough one to beat, especially since a lot of Sherlock fans are also Who fans, and both are Moff Babies. In the Who/Sherlock battle I'll be happy either way. Sherlock because I *heart* it so, and Who because I'd like it to be proven that it wasn't reliant on RTD to be awesome in the public consciousness. Best actor nod though, I fall squarely on the Cucumberpatch side though I think Smith has the advantage as, again, the resident Doctor has taken that award every time the show has won best drama.
But... Public voting... always fickle. I feel a little sorry for Glennister actually, A2A's final series and his nominated performance therein got pounded by Sherlock at the Crime Thriller Awards and will almost undoubtedly be lost under the MoffDocSherlock face-off as well.
Awards for everyone damnit!
Although this has been floating round Tumblr all week. It's a sentiment I can totally get behind. (Or in front of... or in the middle of, if truth be told...)
