Kat decided that to get away from the anti-seasonal maudlin crap (and JR, who does not cope with such things well and has been flying off the handle without provocation, having tantrums and throwing blame around like a toddler for the last week) we should escape into town for a while and check out the market. It was surprisingly not as busy as I'd have thought, but I did get some new jeans on clearance for less than half price. I wasn't going to queue for the changing room so I took a guess at size and got them. I wasn't actually far out. They're fine aound the waist but kind of baggy in the butt, but then again for the price... really who cares?

Secondarily to that, Zavvi have gone into administration, which is a pain in the ass cause if that closes it's the ONLY CD/DVD store in town after the independents closed back when it was still a Virgin Megastore.
I mean, OK, sure, I buy more from Amazon or Play but sometimes you just want to actually go and look in a shop and buy a physical thing and take it home with you right now rather than have to mail-order everything.
I will, however, be cruising that boxing day sale with intent. But the root of all the problem there is actually Woolies. Because Woolies owned EUK, who supplied media to most of the supermarkets and, self-evidently, Zavvi.

Yeah, it's all a big ol' mess...

Took the phone off the hook for an hour, gave the maternal a Strongbow, plonked her down in front of the Tv and made her watch the Retold version of Much Ado.

I think she needed it, she seems a little less wound up now.
