The Antipodean in London
Dec. 11th, 2008 06:55 pmI am home!
*waves*
I am also fucking FREEZING. Jesus. London was just a little bit on the chilly side and all.
So where have I been?
Well a few of you knew already, but I was in London to attend the Australia movie premiere and before I go any further I just have to say 'Loved it, loved it, loved it' and can it be boxing day now please because I really want to see it again.
( Premiere!! And why ARE the seats in the Leicester Square Odeon covered in leopard print? )
This morning we lingered over hotel breakfast, and finally found Covent Garden which had somehow magically eluded us the afternoon before.
Yesterday we also took a long stroll around past the houses of parliment and the London Eye, The National, Trafalgar square... all that kind of stuff. Oh, and ate noodles. Because noodles are always good.
And now I'm home and it's somehow even colder here than it was down there, and also a whole lot noisier because JR has not SHUT UP the entire time since I walked in the door.
Aah, back in the bosom of my family...
Or whatever.
I think I preferred thinking filthy things about how best to warm up Hugh's fingers while he was standing four feet away...
I really have missed seeing him in person this last year. You sort of forget how affable he can be. Doubly so cause he's looked a bit *meh* at some of the premieres recently and last night he was all bouncy Labrador again.
*wubs he so, so much*
