(no subject)

Aaah, so I have cancelled my comic subscription. Be proud of me. (And all without moustache dude whining at me... be ASTOUNDED.) I think I'll probably pick up individual issues from FP just to wind up a couple of storylines, like the last few pieces of Ulti Power, finish Whedon's run on Astonishing, that sort of thing. Last-couple-of-issue bits and pieces. And then that'll be it till the comics stop SUCKING so much or I get a better income.

I also bought shampoo and some cute lil' poolside/beachy flipflops and have almost finished packing save for a few last-minute bits and pieces and the random stuff that goes in my hand luggage. I'm also waiting for a couple of books to arrive because there must be trashy novel consumption.

Other than that... the city was wet and my hair's gone all yuck and I was up early so am therefore exhausted already, so don't expect much of anything else today.

OK, I fear I just wrote a good solid two pages of dialogue for just one scene in a fic.
For one I don't know where that came from because usually I hate dialogue, and for two that's one damn dense and dialoge-heavy scene.
I think it'll work ok though. It's quite a good argument scene at least. You can't really argue in internal monologues and expect to come to any kind of resolution unless you're telepathic so I'm going to figure it's justified.
Plus I totally dig making Maid Marian and Guy of Gisborne bitch at each other cause she's all self-richeous and he's all all psychotic but only because he's totally emo.
It amuses me.
(Well really, floppy hair and eyeliner. He just needs the red and black stripey arm-warmers and a Ye olde 1192 myspace, which would probably be like a town crier paid to wander around reading out bad poetry and exclaiming "Hear ye, hear ye, my parents don't understand me..." but now we're totally off into my own brand of random.)
