*looks around*

ooh, LJ's back up. When I left at the asscrack of dawn this morning it was down for "The Big Server Move" so I couldn't really do anything.

First, and most importantly..

I HAVE MY COPY OF THE FOUNTAIN GRAPHIC NOVEL!!!!

*squeals flails and flaps excitedly*

I've not unwrapped it yet, it's still in the cellophane, and I have a bunch of other stuff I have to get done today before I can sit down and read it but I will le you know how that all goes.

(*has given up any and all pretence of not reading it until after the movie comes out*)

Yeah I know, I worked so hard to stay spoler free but... it'ssofuckingpretty... And I'm justifying it by saying it won't be the same as the movie cause it's all existential anyway...
*looks shifty*

For those who are interested, however- Forbidden Planet DOES have The Fountain, In stock and on the shelves. Not on their Online store, but in the high-street outlets it's definitely there (Or at least it was in Leicester anyhow) So if you UK-ers want it, go get it. It's 26.99 on-shelf and it's big and hard-back and OMGsofuckingpretty.

Unrelated to any of that, I got a christmas pressie for my mum, and I got the CD-inclusive copy of The Day I Swapped My Dad For Two Goldfish, and because Waterstones were doing a 3-for-2, I got that Cecelia Aherne book they may-or-may-not be making a musical from at some point down the line. Because I quite liked the sample chapter and I don't currently have anything pressingly exciting to read.

...and as I say this and am about to hit post, LJ goes weird again... Come Back damnit! *shakes fist* Stop being flaky and mad!

Oh, and I got C's b'day pressie and andandandand... *pops from generalised excitement*

*meep*

...just read The Fountain.

OMGWIBBLETHISISSOGOINGTOMAKEMECRYWHENITCOMESOUT...

No, seriously... If they make this as good as it has the potential to be... It's going to be amazing.

And now I'm going to go sniffle in the corner there... and go *wibble* some more... and say that while there IS gratuitous Future!Tom nudity in the book, I think Movie!Future!Tom is a little too attatched to that beige ensemble he seems to have aquired (Which isn't in the book) and will probably not be as naked as much as everyone's probably hoping...

A BIT naked... but not a lot naked.

Also, while we're not even vaguely on the subject, stuff keeps disappearing and reappearing on my flist right now (I assume as different clusters go up and down) so if I miss anything wildly exciting along the way then blame LJ. :p

*goes off to wibble some more*

For the record... I dunno about you guys but LJ's still being peculiar this evening and I'm too lazy to go chasing things that vanish off my flist at random and undelivered comment notifications and... Eeeeuuungh...

Gonna' go grab a book and some cocoa and curl up in a corner where it's toasty and warm and all that rot.

I'm pushing on to being halfway through if You Could See Me Now and seriously... OMGsoveryadorablecute...

Some thoughts occurred to me this far in... If they DO successfully adapt this into a movie musical it'll be
A) Cutest Hugh EVAH
B) Dorkiest Hugh EVAH
and C) So Disney it'll make your teeth rot and certainly not be set in Ireland any more because no one will be able to pronounce the placenames.

Further thoughts go, I'm not sure this'll make it awfully much past development, though it could certainly prove me wrong. I wouldn't mind it proving me wrong... though I could see it more easily as a non-musical, I would however guess there's space in there for the right composer to come up with something... but I dunno... it's a VERY cute book so far but quite, quite hokey. Even if it IS in a really cute way.

I keep reading Ivan with an Australian accent. This is probably a bad thing... XD
