Ohhhh-crap I can't believe it's Monday again already.

Weekends are never long enough. I'm even more knackered now than I was when I started. You know, which is the bad thing about running round like a loon on Sundays. It's fun while you do it but it sure makes you miss those quiet days of nothing.

I have to get up but my body's saying *floop* and opting for the much more restufl *lounging here* approach to mornings.

I want to go back to sleep...

So the grandparental units are having a new gas fire fitted.

Oh lord in heaven, that's the slowest-moving man I've ever encountered. He walks slow, talks slow, answers his cellphone slow... everything is ponderous, like a sea-cow on the beach. I actually had to leave because just WATCHING him sloooooowly, sloooooowly, think about removing the old fireplace was just painful.

*tears hair out* IEEEE!

OK, plus he was wearing a chav-tastic gold necklace that just offended my aesthetic sensibilities when combined with a tracksuit top. On someone easily pushing over 50. *shudders*

Don't do it, men... don't do it!

Anyway, have left it in the capable hands of Kat's mum. For she is grandad-sitting while mum takes granny out on her birthday shopping trip. And there was frankly nothing I could do being round there aside from get more and more twitchy as that guy moved more and more slooooooowwwwwwwwllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyy-....

I'm guessing honestly that mum and granny will be back before that guy's finished.

And now... I need some lunch. Some laundry. And a long hot shower.

Oh, and Hugh's definitely doing that arena tour of BFO in Australia.

Half of me's saying "Ohh, I wouldn't mind seeing Australia..." and the other half's going "WTF? I am not circumnavigating the globe for fandom. And I am REALLY not liking the thought of that flight..."

Am thinking the latter one's going to win. *ugh* Flying to NYC takes long enough. Long-haul makes me ever so slightly a tiny bit crazed. It's not pretty.

*wanders in*

*goes -floop- and flops down haphazardly*

I have... absolutelynoenergyatall...

Not sleepy or anything especially, just flat. Like the non-brand battery bunnies. (And I am right. The pink bunny advertises Duracell in the UK, not Energizer. I paid extra special attention last time that commercial was on because I know last time I mentioned the battery bunny there was a transatlantic debate about the battery brand.)

But regardless...

*yawns at you*

*ate dinner*

*doesn't feel any less sluggish and deflated than before*

*ponders that this is unusual*

*thinks that right about now a nap would be reeeeeally good*

Folks have gone to the north-east to visit JR's mum. Still have to take dog out at some point. Wondering whether a walk will wake me up. Wondering whether I can be bothered to be woken up. Considering an actual *gasp* early night...

...probably won't happen of course, but one can fantasise.

John and Kat's mum took the pooch out for the walk, which was nice. Meant I got to stay home and be slovenly and, because I had nothign else to do, torment the Bean (HA! Have discovered he's ticklish! Commence tormenting!)

Gonna' go get some cocoa, let the puppy out for a last-minute thing in the yard and then...

THEN...!

Am contemplating taking part in that obscure and unheard of ritual (It's probably satantic, they do all the best obscure rituals) known as "Going to bed before midnight"... I'm not sure how well that'll work out exactly, mindyou. Bear in mind I'm very out of practice with it.

But ohhh... cocoa is calling me...

Mmmmmm cocoa...

Chocolate makes everything good.

*slides into a contented, toasty heap*
