[livejournal.com profile] angelsnow Hughcheese is on its way back to you, along with those other tapes I mentioned. No rush just fling 'em back this way when you're done.

[livejournal.com profile] piratejenn212 There's mail heading in your direction too. Uhm, it's probably not going to get there before your birthday unless the postal system decides to defy decades of tradition and actually work promptly, but regardless, enjoy it whenever it makes its arrival ^^;

In other news, our new chickens are settling in nicely and currently digging up the flowerbeds in search of insects, and Kat and I spent the morning trying to decide if on the Hughcheese tape Hugh was wearing a shiny black PVC tie (her opinion) or a tie covered in black sequins (my opinion and IMHO much more likely because GOD that man is a dork...)
Either way, that was an oddly shiny reflective tie.

*loves him and desperately wants to take him home*

Also I finally got down the shops and bought cheesecake. Which I will consume later on, after dinner.

In other, other news... I wish this bra would quit. Fucking. Poking. Me.
*sighs* Bah, time to go shopping I think. *hates underwear shopping*
All the chore with very little of the gratifying payback.

I'm having one of those days where my hair is just annoying the crap out of me. It's having a day where it's either perpetually in the way, or tangling up or just generally being a pain.
Actually on that note it's getting down towards my tailbone again, it's probably time I had mother chop off another six inches to bring it back under control. It goes a little crazy if it gets too long, then tends to start getting stuck in things.

I should go do something productive with what's left of my evening, I think. Which would be unusual. Though allegedly not surprising as so all the newspapers declared today e-mail and text messages fog your brain worse than cannabis. It almost doesn't surprise me... Well no actually I might be tempted to be offended by the rather technophobic insinuation behind it if I didn't already know how a continual flow of e-mail can be distracting as all hell when you're trying to get an angsty muse from foreplay to orgasm without him somehow wanting to skip the actual sex in between. *glares at muses*

Hm, maybe I should just offline and smoke a joint instead and save us all a few brain-cells ;p

Cellphoto Challenge: Epistle and Practical

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This challenge coincided rather nicely with the fact that I needed to clear off my notice board of all its irrelevant letters and out of date items. The act of clearing it was in itself a practicality as I was running out of space, but it is probably the irony of this photograph that is most effective, taking as it does the only single letter still of any relevance or genuine use and then destroying it for the sake of protection. The protection of both ourselves and our data requires we take the practical nature of the letter and render it impractical by destruction, but all for a reason of pure practicality.
That is the irony of it. The useful destruction of a useful item.

The photograph itself makes use of a mostly monochrome colour palette, echoing the dry and purely factual tones of the letters, the black on white of ink on paper mergng with distance and shadow into a swelling ocean of greys and mid-tones, lacking in any real focus or point. The paper edges are sharp but blurred through indifferance, a marker of the apathy suffered by society when faced with officialdom and beurocratic red-tape. Complexity breeds indifferance, the more layered the papers the less focused the recipient until even purely functional items are regarded with suspicion and contempt, the pervading culture of political cynicism classifying even the most neccessary paperwork as yet another fatuous obstruction.

Happy this time [livejournal.com profile] mitraagni358? I waffled especially for you... ;p

I've been trimmed.

Had the maternal one cut off about 5-6" of hair so it's now more towards the middle of my back than down around my waist and it no longer feels quite so much like it's velcroing to the back of my clothing.
This is a good thing because it was getting astoundingly annoying.

Also tomorrow I really have nothing in the city that can't wait and be picked up next week, so I'm having a whole weekend of sleeping in.
Which is nice.

That's about all I have to say, really.

Well, that and I really wish the damn laundry would do itself because I'm sick of doing it, but that's never gonna' happen.
