Insomnia and baked goods
Feb. 26th, 2005 12:42 amActually unlike the title suggests there's not so much of the insomnia involved but there is a quanitity of baked goods.
Keith, one of Sarah's archery type people is having a birthday tomorrow so, as some of the plans they had fell through and tomorrow's going to be chaos and insanity, I figured cake would make up for it all. (Two birthdays tomorrow actually, and I have to go get a nice card for at least one of them tomorrow morning.)
So I have to fit in a quick trip to town for nice card and a little present or something, and head over to Lindsey's some tme after 3 and be sociable and such for a couple of hours. And in between that Sarah and her archery people will be stopping by for cake and stuff... and maybe if it ties in they'll come to Lindsey's too. And at some point in the evening we're going to Leicester because they want to go bowling but will probably end up playing pool because the bowling place is stupidly busy and (shhh, it's a secret) I totally forgot to book it earlier this week. It just didn't happen so... as far as they know it was booked up and we'll go see if we can get a cancelled lane or something or something. I dunno. I'll be happy enough to whup the boywonder's ass at airhockey again actually. He creams me at pool, but the airhockey I'm actually pretty good at. Or was anyway.
So yes. To save time tomorrow (she says, finally getting back to her point) and because I object to getting up early on a Saturday, I made Keith his cake now, before I get too sidetracked.
Zen and the art of baking at midnight...
He wanted chocolate and strawberry... but he has tripple chocolate with pink sprinkles on due to a severe lack of strawberry frosting at this time of night.
Kat'll be pleased though, she's been harrassing me for chocolate cake all bloody week.
