FicPost Ahead
Jan. 12th, 2005 11:46 amSooooo...
A little while back last year
sweptawaybayou and I came to an agreement. She would write me Het!Wolversmut (pairing of her choice) if I wrote her RPS (pairing of my choice). Kinda' like a ficswap challenge, if you want, neatly flicking the both of us out of our usually inhabited fandom waters. After all, there's nothing like stretching some underused creative muscles to try and kick some writer's block, right? Though I'm definitely not too proud to admit that if you ever SAW The Boy From Oz... it's such a readymade idea.
Now I can hear a few of you going "But wait... LT you never write slash, let alone RPS. What fandom crack are you smoking today?"
Well that's not completely true. It's pretty unusual for me to write anything with a slashy theme to it, certainly, but it's also not completely unheard of either. It's just not usually where my creative thoughts go, and as I apparently have very few qualms left, it was an interesting exercise in broadening my own literary experiences.
And as Hemmingway so famously said... "Try everything once, except for incest and country dancing."
Well who am I to argue with advice like that?
Which in a roundabout way is my super-long and rambling method of saying:
Disclaimer: "This post contains Real Person Slash. That means it's fictional and absolutely never happened. However, the notion of it is not to everyone's taste, so if the idea of real people gettin' it on in a fictionalised homoerotic fashion offends you, or even if you just don't like it, I recommend you surf along elsewhere. I won't mind. But don't complain at me if you ignore my advice and read on regardless, because that's really not my fault."
Obligatory explanation and warning both over with - On with the fic. *runs and hides in a corner till it's all over with*
Title: The Closest Thing To Crazy
Author: Lady-T
Archive: I don't think there is an archive for this, but if you do happen to want it, just ask
Feedback: Uh... Be gentle? I'm still not sure I'm not just a little bit ambivalent about the whole thing at the moment. Huzzah for neurotic writers.
Rating: I think NC-17 to be safe. Though probably more the top end of an R
Pairing: Hugh/Brad
'Verse: I dunno, does BFO Backstage count as a 'verse?
Summary: A Continental American... with a twist
Notes: Many thanks and nakey Hughs to
junebug138 for the beta.
