Short, but almost upbeat
Jul. 8th, 2003 12:44 pmSo work was... work like; Amply summed up on the most part by Lesley's constant repetition of the phrase "Ignorant Spanish Bastards!"
In the defence of the 20-odd Spanish people we have staying, I'll say they're not ignorant. Rude, messy and ungrateful, certainly, but not really ignorant.
On a totally unrelated note, just a snippet that had me squeeing with delight over the weekend...:
Stage Notes

Also in the wings: a bio-tuner about a gay songwriter who's barely remembered by the under-40 set (The Boy from Oz), a post-modern prequel to a beloved children's story (Wicked) and a Fred and Ginger musical without Fred and Ginger (Never Gonna Dance). Hard to say who will be on top by year's end, but I'd put money on Hugh Jackman in The Boy from Oz if I were a betting man. I saw the invitation-only workshop last year and even though the show is mushy and manipulative, it made me cry and Mr. Wolverine just oozes charisma. I'd guess he'll wind up on the stage of Radio City Music Hall once again at next year's Tonys--to collect his own. Wow, am I getting ahead of myself or what?
IEEEE! Mushy and manipulative, with the ability to render grown men with a bad case of the sniffles, then really... I will never survive and someone will have to scrape me off the floor with a spatula.
Repeatedly.
*grins*
Ahh, gotta' love a bit of angst...
Char and Rachie will be over in a bit so I guess I'd better get changed to take a shower before they arrive.
*is stinky*
