HAIR!!!!!

Just got home from the hairdressers. Couldn't wait to get back to my hairbrush. The woman styled it all wrong and it was in my face all the way here. Started annoying the crap out of me after a little while.
Still, it's the colour I pay them for not the styling, and that is dutifully loud.
Came out more purple this time around, unlike the fuscia of last time. Either is good with me, it's the screaming, retina-scorching vibrant effect that I'm after rather than any specific shade.

Picked up some fish and chips on the way home with the change left over from the 20 mum gave me to pay for the hair. (There's nothing wrong with living in stereotypes. Sometimes you just get that craving for batter...)

I see KAT's got her new laptop at last! *screams in vicarious joy* good good good... at least now she can surf and chat at the same time ^___^

Oooh, oooh, ooooooooh... New teasing bits about X2 right here! I'm very excited...
*plasters a big stupid grin on her face*
I'm trying really hard not to get too worked up or overexcited otherwise I know I'll be in for a hefty dissapointment, but damnit, I can't help myself...


On a totally unrelated note, I see that JL found a scan of Hugh's Stuart Weitzman auction shoe.
Took me a little while to work out what the heck was going on with that design, cause it does look sort of like he was let loose with a shoe and a box of lil' Oscar's Magic Markers, but if you twist your head to the side, that random bit of zebra striped whatever-the-heck-it-is actually kinda' looks like a woman...
An upside-down woman granted, but after staring at it a bit trying to work out what it was, I'd say it was probably a lady.
I just wanna' know what those scrawly bits of text on it say... though red on pink... tut tut tut. Little bit of clashing happening there I think. XD

OK, I take it back... Al Roker's shoe looks like he was let loose with a box of magic markers... ^^;;;

I think over all I'm most amused by Bob Goen's stiletto golf shoe. The spikes are a nice touch, and that's some impressive plumage happening there in Ron Howard's contribution..

Up in the north...

Just heard from Rachie. She's moving up north to Preston in a fortnight to live with her mum.
*eeps*

I knew it was kind of a possibility but she just decided today that she's going to do it. She's guarenteed a job up there too, cause her mum's found her a place at the factory she works in. They get pretty well paid apparently though it would involve too much processed meat for my liking.
But yeah... she's buggering off Up North for the forseeable future, making monthly visits back here to see us and pick up her comics from magic lab.
*sniffles*
I don't know whether to be happy for her or miserable cause she's leaving. I know she was worried about finding a place to live down here cause after her grandma died her grandpa was making comments about selling up the house and moving somewhere smaller ergo making her somewhat homeless.
(Her dad oh-so-tactfully blurted that out and told her to find somewhere else to live right after the funeral, so she's been really obsessing about that for the past few weeks)
But in all honesty I don't think it would have really happened. Her grandpa would have been completely on his own if he'd booted Rachie out and much as I'm sure he was thinking there would be advantages to not having to provide for her any longer, he'd also have to live with having no one around. Rachie's the only company he has left now his wife's gone, cause Rachie's dad sure as heck doesn't visit very often.
She said he looked really sad when she told him she was going to move to Preston, and I think that's pretty much says it all.
I can't say if I think she's doing the right thing or not to be honest. I know she doesn't really like her mum that much and she hates her mum's boyfriend for sure... and she'll be working in a meat-packing factory.
She's going to hate it.
She'll think it'll be OK and then when it actually comes down to it, she really is going to be miserable there. Cause she doesn't socialise, it takes her forever to make new friends, she'll have a sucky as hell job and her mum's going to drive her crazy.
I'm half expecting her to move back down here again within a few months though whether she'll be willing to swallow her pride and admit she was wrong enough to actually do that will be another matter.
I just hope she doesn't end up doing what she did near the end of her time at art college and just end up sleeping away an entire week on more medication again.
The girl needs a creative outlet and meat-packing isn't it.
